FREEZING PEPPERMINT SIX DOT (17MG)
Mint flavours typically have a faster nicotine uptake time in comparison with other flavours. There’s a lot of speculation as to the reason why, but I am not a doctor, I just know they do. The freezing peppermint, for me, is by far the fastest hitting VELO pouch out there. The pouch composition is typically well made, what you would expect from BAT. The flavour is nuanced, but consistent throughout the load time, which I have managed around 30 minutes before it feels dead. The peppermint flavour is well balanced though, without being overbearing but pushing a little drip on first load. The drip of the peppermint hits the back of the throat, and tastes nice, but dries up after a few minutes.
The strength is comparable to some nicotine pouches at higher strengths. It is strong enough to sit you back down if you get up too quickly! This is incongruous for most VELO pouches, and the Freezing Peppermint is the only VELO product I have found this level of strength in. For me, as a bit of a pouch junky, I love the morning hit from the Freezing Peppermint. But, I am an experienced user, for new users, on a dehydrated body after a sleep, a morning pouch could be a little too aggressive.
Whos’ Freezing Peppermint for?
As an ex-smoker, I know that heavy smokers would love this pouch. The peppermint flavour is comparable to menthol cigarettes, and it is strong enough to match some of the feeling from traditional smoking. I do consider this the strongest in the range, so new users unfamiliar with nicotine pouches may find the strength a bit of a rough ride. Transitioning from an 11mg mint VELO would be unwise, bridge the gap first in the 14mg range of mints.
