Killa Snus vs Pablo Snus: Which Nicotine Pouches Should You Use

Killa and Pablo have grown exponentially, especially in the UK. Both brands are manufactured by NGP Empire, master manufacturers out of Denmark. While there are similarities, there are also extreme differences. But, which one should you use? The supply of nicotine pouches has already surpassed the education level surrounding them. As someone that has used virtually every single brand available, you could consider me somewhat of a nerd for nicotine pouches. Or, in colloquial context, a nerd for snus. Ill guide you through Killa vs Pablo, and offer some insights from a users perspective in this article.

Key Takeaways: Killa vs Pablo Nicotine Pouches

  • Both brands are manufactured by NGP Empire, with Killa offering steady balance and Pablo known for high-intensity strength.
  • Killa pouches sit at 12.8mg per pouch, ideal for users looking for consistency and a smoother nicotine experience.
  • Pablo offers both 17mg and 50mg options, delivering faster onset and stronger perceived effects—especially for experienced users.
  • Flavour profiles overlap across both ranges, but Pablo leans into bolder, more intense delivery while Killa keeps it more nuanced.
  • Choosing between them depends on your nicotine tolerance and flavour preference—both brands offer solid quality and consistency.

Killa Snus vs Pablo Snus: A Bit of Background

Some years ago, snus (traditional Swedish snus that is) were the only pouches containing nicotine available. Killa was one of the first ‘all white’ brands (all white snus, containing no tobacco, and synthetic nicotine) to hit domestic online sales. Killa wildly undercut the traditional snus market and offered a product that, perhaps for some, was revolutionary. Tobacco-based snus has been illegal for sale in most countries outside of the Nordics. But, strangely, most countries still allowed personal importation. The loophole was utilised fully by my group of friends and many more. While it was a positive, the negative was the extremely long delivery times for imported delivery.

All white snus was new, and for most that had been using traditional snus for so long, was not preferred. Over time it grew, however. The domestic supply of all white pouches began to convert long time snus users. Killa was integral in the conversion of some snus users, but it also managed to attract those outside of scope too. The growth of nicotine pouches, all white nicotine pouches, was intrinsically connected to the growth of Killa.

NGP Empire’s release of Pablo snus, around the middle of 2010’s upped the levels of pouches. The stronger cousin of Killa, first released in the Pablo Ice Cold flavour, rocked the nicotine pouch world. At 50mg, it was one of the first to push the envelope of nicotine pouch strength. Perhaps NGP didn’t know at the time, but they had released two of the future best selling brands in the world.

Killa Snus vs Pablo Snus: Strength Under the Microscope

Strength is always a catchy topic when it comes to nicotine pouches. I have personally had fiery debates with friends about the strength of certain brands, and products within those brands. Although the products have a nicotine level, typically quantified by ‘mg’ - they all have different factors which affect strength. If not the actual nicotine strength, then certainly the perceived strength to a user. Some brands are what I would consider accurate, and some miss the mark by some distance. Killa and Pablo benefit from being manufactured by the same manufacturer, despite being two competing brands.

What mg is Killa Snus

Killa is a 16mg nicotine pouch that is reduced to 12.8mg per pouch. Across all the variations, Killa has maintained the same strength level. At 12.8mg it should be strong enough to give a new user an exciting ride, and a frequent user enough nicotine to feel effects. In actuality, the Killa brand has seemed more accurate in its strength since the release of the Exclusive Line. Before Killa changed the packaging, I felt Killa had a weakness to it. Some see Killa as a strong nicotine pouch, and it really is not. The strength is subdued, with a slow nicotine uptake to the system. Even the mint flavours, like the infamous Cold Mint, takes its time releasing nicotine. But, the new versions of Killa in 2025, definitely have improved the strength accuracy, in my opinion.

What mg is Pablo Snus

Pablo comes in two specific lines of strength. Pablo 50mg, and Pablo Gold, which is 17mg. The Despite being made under the same roof I think the strength level of Pablo 50mg (which is actually 30mg per pouch) are a lot more accurate than the Gold Edition. Most flavours in the 50mg have what you would expect from that level of nicotine with a fast kick, and duration. The Gold line excels in what it does, being a nice pouch with mid-level strength. But for those that were looking for a more exciting ride, I actually think the Killa pouches are more accurate in strength, and more aggressive than the Pablo Gold.

Winner: Pablo

I am trying not to be biased to Pablo because I like stronger pouches, but considering the two brands in their entirety. I think that more flavours in the Pablo lineup offer what you would would expect from both the 17mg and 50mg range. The mints are among the best mints you will find in the market and the acidity level in most flavours is low. As such, Pablo has a little less drip than Killa, and maintains a strong performance across the board.

Killa Snus vs Pablo Snus: Flavours Compared

I remember the release of Killa Cola. At the time, it was revolutionary, in a time when tobacco-based flavours ruled the roost. Nicotine pouch flavours have come a long way since the original releases, and Killa have gone some way into reiterating old favourites. Layer that on top of the new releases, especially in the exclusive line, and Killa have captured much of the market.

Pablo, on the other hand, has silently gone about cultivating a mirrored audience in terms of flavour, just at the higher strength levels. Much of the Killa flavours are also available in the Pablo range. Between the two I have to admit that I do feel the Pablo flavours are a little more intense than Killa. I am not sure if that is to do with the strength level or the way that they are made but the pouches seem a little stronger in flavour. Some may see that as a positive, some may prefer to have a little more nuanced approach to flavour. Between the two, my personal preference is Pablo.

Final Thoughts

Choosing between Killa and Pablo really comes down to what kind of experience you are chasing. Killa has played an integral role in shaping the nicotine pouch scene, especially for those transitioning from traditional snus or seeking a balanced all white option. It offers a more relaxed journey with softer flavours and a steady nicotine kick. Pablo on the other hand is bolder. It caters to the strength-seekers and those who want more intensity both in nicotine delivery and flavour profile.

Both brands have carved out their place in the market for good reason. They cater to slightly different crowds, but both deliver on quality. If you are new to pouches or want something that leans more balanced and accessible, Killa is a solid choice. If you are after strength, speed and a punchy flavour hit, Pablo will probably be your go-to. Either way, you cannot go far wrong with either brand, and chances are you might end up enjoying both depending on your mood or preference that day.
