Iceberg Snus Australia: Iceberg Nicotine Pouches, Explained
If you are searching Iceberg snus Australia, or Iceberg nicotine pouches Australia, you already know the reputation. Iceberg is the brand people mention when the conversation turns to properly strong pouches. It is a tobacco-free, all white pouch from Eastern Europe, filled with nicotine, plant-based fillers, water and flavouring, and it comes with some of the loudest flavours on our shelves. We ship 19 Iceberg cans to Australia. Nine are full-size Slim cans labelled 70mg, like Grape and Black, and ten are Mini cans labelled 30mg, like Artic Mint and Watermelon.
For purposes of clarity, Iceberg is not snus in the traditional Swedish sense, because there is no tobacco in it. But, Australians call almost every pouch snus, and the name has stuck to Iceberg as much as anything, colloquially at least. So, you will see Iceberg snus and Iceberg nicotine pouches used side by side on this page, and they mean the same can. The one thing you need to understand before you order is what that 70mg on the lid actually means, and I will get to that shortly.
Want to see how Iceberg sits next to everything else we ship? Our snus Australia page lays out the full range.
Is Iceberg a Good Nicotine Pouch Brand in Australia?
For the right person, yes, and I would go as far as to call the strong cans little gems. Iceberg is known for strength first, but it is underrated on flavour. A lot of strong brands taste like an afterthought, as if the flavour is only there to cover the burn. Iceberg goes against the grain. The gum and fruit cans in particular come out big, and they hold on longer than you would expect from a pouch at this strength.
The honest caveats matter just as much. Iceberg is not a brand for newcomers, full stop. The Slim cans are at the very top of what we sell, and even an experienced user should treat the first one with respect. The burn on the gum is real, and on some flavours the fruit steps back once the burn takes over. And, a couple of the names, Arasaka and Emerald, tell you nothing about what is inside. If you like a strong pouch with plenty of personality, it is one of the better high-strength brands around. If you are still finding your feet, it is not the place to start.
Why Australians Like Iceberg
ZYN and VELO are the names most Australians know, and both top out well below where Iceberg begins. So, the typical Iceberg order comes from someone who has outgrown the mid-strength brands and wants to know what the top shelf feels like. Flavour is the other draw. A 2024 survey of Australian pouch users put fruit (35%) and mint (34%) as the two most popular flavour types, and Iceberg covers both with a sweet, candy-like twist. Gum flavours like Watermelon Mint Gum and Strawberry Banana Gum are the ones you will not find from the big corporate brands. Then there is the Mini range, which gives you the Iceberg flavours in a smaller pouch at a lower label strength. That is a sensible way to try the brand before you commit to a box of the big cans.
Iceberg Nicotine Pouches Australia Strength: What 70mg Really Means
This is where most people get it wrong, and I cannot stress it enough. Iceberg prints its strength in milligrams per gram of pouch material, not per pouch. A 70mg Iceberg does not put 70mg of nicotine in your mouth. The nicotine in each pouch depends on how much the pouch weighs, and Iceberg does not print the pouch weight on the cans we hold. As such, I will not give you a precise per-pouch figure that I cannot stand behind.
| Can | Label | What the label means | If a pouch weighs 0.5g | If a pouch weighs 0.8g |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iceberg Slim | 70mg | mg per gram | 35mg per pouch | 56mg per pouch |
| Iceberg Mini | 30mg | treat as mg per gram, smaller pouch | 15mg per pouch | 24mg per pouch |
| Killa (for scale) | 16.5mg/g | per gram on the can | 13.2mg per pouch | |
Those last two columns are worked maths, not measurements, and they are there to show you the range. Even at the low end, a 70mg Iceberg Slim sits at more than double a 13.2mg Killa, and at least five times a 6mg ZYN. The Minis are a lighter pouch with a lower label, and they are the sensible way in. Please check the lid when your cans arrive, and if you are unsure, start with a Mini and a short first load.
What Is the Strongest Iceberg?
All nine Slim cans carry the same 70mg label, so none is stronger on paper. In practice, the mint cans feel strongest, because mint gets the nicotine moving faster. Sweet Mint at 70mg is the one I would treat with the most caution. The old 150mg cans that made Iceberg infamous are not part of our range, and to be honest, 70mg is plenty.
Iceberg Slim vs Iceberg Mini
The Slim is the full-size Iceberg pouch, long and thin, and it is the one that carries the 70mg label. The Mini is a smaller pouch labelled 30mg, and a smaller pouch means less material and less nicotine in each one. Three flavours appear in both formats: Grape, Sour Berries and Sweet Mint. That makes them an easy ladder. Try Mini Grape first, and if it feels comfortable, move up to the 70mg Grape later. Minis also sit more discreetly under the lip, which suits a long shift where you want something small.
Iceberg Snus Australia Flavours: The 19 Cans We Ship
Nineteen cans across two formats. I have flagged the ones I would take out on a hot day and added a short note to each. Where a name gives nothing away, I have said so rather than guess.
The 70mg Slim Cans
These are the heavy hitters. Black is sold as a tutti frutti style mix, but to me it tastes less like fruit salad sweets and more like a sharp mixed fruit. It comes out hard in the first minute and steps back once the burn arrives.
| Can | What it tastes like | Hot-day pick? | My note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grape | sweet grape | No | the easiest way into the big cans |
| Black | sharp mixed fruit | No | big first minute, then the burn takes over |
| Sweet Mint | sweet, cooling mint | Yes | feels the strongest, handle with care |
| Watermelon Mint Gum | watermelon bubblegum with mint | Yes | the pick of the gum cans for summer |
| Strawberry Banana Gum | strawberry and banana bubblegum | No | very sweet, a proper candy pouch |
| Kiwi Strawberry | tart kiwi and strawberry | Yes | fresh and fruity |
| Sour Berries | sour mixed berries | Yes | tangy, cuts through the burn |
| Arasaka | not obvious from the name | No | one for the curious |
| Emerald | not obvious from the name | No | one for the curious |
The Mini 30mg Cans
The Minis carry the same loud flavour style in a smaller pouch. This is where I would send anyone trying Iceberg for the first time.
| Can | What it tastes like | Hot-day pick? | My note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Artic Mint | icy mint | Yes | the coldest can in the range |
| Sweet Mint | sweet, cooling mint | Yes | the Mini route to the 70mg Sweet Mint |
| Watermelon | sweet watermelon | Yes | an easy summer can |
| Green Apple | crisp green apple | Yes | fresh and sharp |
| Grape | sweet grape | No | the Mini route to the 70mg Grape |
| Sour Berries | sour mixed berries | Yes | tangy and refreshing |
| Wild Berries | mixed forest berries | No | a softer berry than Sour Berries |
| Apricot | soft, sweet apricot | No | unusual and gentle |
| Fruity Gum | fruit bubblegum | No | a lighter taste of the gum cans |
| Energy Mango | energy drink with mango | No | a nicotine pouch with an energy drink flavour |
Where to Start
First Iceberg snus Australia order? Start with a Mini fruit such as Watermelon or Green Apple, keep the load short, and see how it lands. Once that feels comfortable, the 70mg Grape is the gentlest of the big cans. Leave Sweet Mint until last.
How an Iceberg Pouch Feels
The first minute of an Iceberg is all flavour, and it bursts out of the pouch. Then the burn creeps in, and on the 70mg cans the strength just grows, and grows, and keeps growing. After two or three minutes the pouch has properly taken hold, and it feels a bit like being on a rollercoaster while sitting perfectly still. On some cans the flavour steps back as the burn arrives, while the gum cans tend to hang on for longer.
You do not need to keep a strong Iceberg in for long. Ten minutes is plenty for a first go, even for a regular user. If you feel hot, sweaty or light-headed, take it out and drink some water, because water brings you back quicker than anything. That makes the 70mg cans handy for a short, sharp break on a long shift rather than something to leave in all afternoon.
That suits a lot of Australian routines. On a smoko break on site, at the end of a long drive, or during a hard day on a FIFO roster, a short Iceberg load does its job and then gets out of the way. It is also a pouch to respect in the heat. On a hot day, when you are already sweating and a bit dehydrated, a strong pouch can feel stronger again, so keep the water close.
Who Iceberg Suits, and Who Should Walk Past It
Iceberg is for intermediate to experienced users. If you already use Pablo, Cuba or anything else in our high strength snus range, the 70mg cans are a natural next look. If you are happy on a 13mg Killa and curious, the Minis are your way in.
If you have never used a pouch, or you are on a 6mg ZYN, please walk past this page. Start in our low strength snus or starter packs, then work up through our mid strength pouches. There is no prize for going too big too early.
Iceberg vs Pablo vs Cuba vs Killa
| Iceberg Slim | Pablo Exclusive | Cuba Black | Killa | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Label on the can | 70mg per gram | 50mg per gram | 66mg per gram | 16.5mg per gram |
| Per pouch | not printed, see the strength section | about 30mg | about 43mg | 13.2mg |
| Flavour style | loud, candy and gum | intense, fast mints | punchy | bold first load |
| Best for | experienced users who want flavour | strong mint lovers | very experienced users | stepping up from 6mg |
On the label, Iceberg Slim sits at the top of this group. Just remember that pouch weight decides what you actually get, which is why I would not pick between Iceberg, Pablo and Cuba on the lid number alone. Choose on flavour. Pablo does mint best, and Iceberg does gum and candy best. Iceberg is its own brand, by the way, and not a Cuba sub-line, whatever you may have heard.
Ordering Iceberg Nicotine Pouches Australia Wide: Tracked in 5 to 7 Days
We ship Iceberg nicotine pouches Australia wide on a tracked service, and delivery takes roughly 5 to 7 days. Weekday orders placed before the daily cut-off go out the same day. Tracking starts the moment your Iceberg order is dispatched. Shipping to Australia is free on orders over £199, otherwise a flat £19.99, with optional Expedited Insured Delivery at £30 on orders of 30 cans or more.
Our Mix and Match deal takes 10% off 10 or more cans and 20% off 20 or more, applied automatically at checkout, across flavours and the brands in the deal. Because a strong Iceberg lasts longer than a light pouch, most people do not need twenty of them. The smart Iceberg snus Australia box is a few Iceberg cans alongside your everyday brand, such as Pablo or Killa, so you still hit the discount.
Who Makes Iceberg?
Iceberg comes out of Poland, as far as the trade listings we have seen go, and it has built its name on strength and bold flavours rather than on a big marketing budget. The lineup has changed a lot over the years, and what we ship today is the 70mg Slims and the 30mg Minis. You will hear plenty of stories online about where the brand started, most of them unproven, so I will stick to what is on the can.
Getting the Most from a Can of Iceberg in Australia
Eat and Drink First
A strong pouch on an empty stomach and no water is asking for trouble, and never more so than first thing in the morning. Have breakfast, keep a bottle of water nearby, and save the 70mg cans for later in the day.
Keep the First Load Short
Five to ten minutes is enough to learn how an Iceberg behaves. You can always put another in later, but you cannot take back a pouch you left in too long.
Rotate With a Lighter Brand
Very few people use Iceberg all day, and I would not recommend trying. The best way to use it is as the strong can in the pocket, alongside a lighter everyday pouch for the rest of the day. That way the Iceberg still feels like an event when you reach for it, and you are not building your whole day around a 70mg load.
Picking a Second Flavour
If you started on Mini Watermelon, try Mini Sour Berries next, the tang works well in the heat. If you have already moved up to the Slims and liked Grape, Watermelon Mint Gum is the one I would put in front of you, because the mint keeps it fresh while the gum keeps it sweet.
Keep Cans Cool
Heat dries out pouches and dulls the flavour. Never leave cans on the dashboard or in a glovebox in the sun. Carry the open can in the shade and keep spares somewhere cool.
